We are looking for a qualified accountant (CA or ACCA) to join our Audit Team at a Manager level. If you are an experienced Assistant Manager looking for a move, or already operate as a Manager but looking for a new challenge, this role represents an ideal next step in your career.

We recognize individual achievements through opportunities for development and advancement. Candidates should have UK based external audit experience of working with a diverse client portfolio, strong technical and communication skills. Attention to detail, technical strength, commercial awareness, good communication and PC skills are essential.

Your profile

As a long-standing training firm, we put great value on learning and development and encourage our management team to work closely with our Audit associates and apprentices on their learning and career development. We are looking for someone with recent public practice experience as well as experience in managing your own portfolio of clients. Your skills/experience should include:

  • Establishing close working relationship with clients.
  • Detailed review of audit working papers prepared by the audit team.
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Experience of clearing assignments straight to partner.
  • Discussing audit and more general business issues with clients on each assignment and considering service solutions.
  • Delegating effectively and monitoring progress.
  • Identifying and resolving engagement related problems (deliverables, timing and fees).
  • Management of fees and portfolio WIP.
  • Experience of CCH Audit Automation preferred but not essential.

Location
We have offices  in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. We work fully dynamically, meaning that our team are trusted to work where suits the situation best. There’s no mandatory time in the office, but you will need to come in regularly for meetings and events.
