We are looking for a newly qualified accountant (CA or ACCA) to join our Audit team at a Senior Associate level. If you are an experienced Senior Associate ready to move into an Assistant Manager role and looking for a new challenge, this role represents an ideal next step in your career.

 

We recognize individual achievements through opportunities for development and advancement. Candidates should have UK based external audit experience, strong technical and communication skills. Attention to detail, technical strength, commercial awareness, good communication and PC skills are essential.
The Role

What you will do

Your role will involve:

  • External audit of accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including for example entities in the following sectors: owner managed businesses, technology, life sciences, financial services, property groups, charities, housing associations and pension schemes.
  • Liaison and communication with colleagues, Managers and Partners
  • Coaching more junior staff and assisting with in-house training sessions
  • Developing and maintaining client contact and relationships
  • Ensure that work is completed within the required timescales and to the agreed budget
  • Undertake ad-hoc work as directed by the Management team
Your profile

What we are looking for

  • Experience of accounts preparation is essential
  • Recent experience in public practice is essential
  • Recent external audit experience is essential
  • Newly qualified CA or ACCA
  • Good communication skills are required
  • Willingness to take responsibility and suggest solutions to problems encountered
  • Proven success as a team player
  • Demonstrable ability to work with budgets and deadlines
  • IT literate – Microsoft Office, CCH Audit Automation, SAGE, Xero, CaseWare IDEA preferred

Location
We have offices  in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. We work fully dynamically, meaning that our team are trusted to work where suits the situation best. There’s no mandatory time in the office, but you will need to come in regularly for meetings and events.
